TOUR DE SUFFOLK Terms and Conditions of Entry

Tour de Suffolk Terms and Conditions

Entry fees for the Tour de Suffolk are non-refundable.

You will receive event information via email. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you give your consent to receive this information.

Photographs taken on the day of the ride may be used for promotional purposes. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are agreeing to any photographs of you being used in this way.

I understand and accept that this event is not a race or trial of speed, but a personal challenge and as such there will be no list of finishing times or finishing position order.

I accept and understand that I must always abide by the Highway Code. I am aware that when riding on a public highway the function of marshals is only to indicate direction and that I must decide whether the movement is safe. Please do not ride more than two abreast, or in a manner likely to cause obstruction.

You will be disqualified from the ride if you have not given us the following personal details: name, address, date of birth and emergency contact details.

Participants will be responsible for the roadworthiness and safe working order of their bicycles. The wearing of Helmets that conform to the EN1078 safety standard is compulsory.

If the event is held in poor or little light, then front and rear lights must be used and must have adequate battery life for the duration of the event.

No accompanying vehicles are allowed to follow riders. Any participant failing to observe this regulation will be withdrawn from the event.

You may not use your mobile phone while riding. You must stop at the side of the road if you need to make or receive a call.

Although not compulsory, we recommend that all cyclists take out their cycling insurance to cover themselves and their bikes for the duration of the challenge.

I understand and agree that I participate in this event entirely at my own risk, that I must rely on my ability to deal with all hazards, and that I must ride in a manner which is safe for myself, and others and I am aware this is a non-competitive cycling event. I declare that I am fit and healthy to participate in the challenge and I understand the risks involved. I accept that if I do not abide by these terms and conditions the organisers will make all reasonable efforts to remove me from the event. The organiser will use all efforts to restrict participation in future Tour de Suffolk events. The Rotary Club of Ipswich Wolsey will not be held responsible nor accept liability for injuries or health issues caused or aggravated by participating. Both entities reserve the right to refuse participation to anyone whose medical conditions deem them to be at risk.
